It seems The Lost Ninja has received an e-mail this evening that is also strange in content. And it appears that Rachel and Malik are using the Experience blogs to send each other messages.

Using a keyboard transference code (1 key to the right) we come up with the following message. But who is de Zylva?

You were captured at the end, and yet, there you were, blasting those Lost producers in San Diego not a week later. And, I have to wonder... did de Zylva have something to do with that? Do you know what's become of him?"

ANONYMOUS TIDINGS FROM SPEAKER

Speaker (Inside the Experience.com) received this (image on left – filename “ironman_1”) in his e-mail box today. The same image reversed (right) reveals that this is a hexadecimal string, which contains a hidden message (and that really brings back some early memories of the Experience.) After running through an Ascii converter the code gives us this: "rewsna ym wonk ydaerla uoy neht era uoy kniht i ohw tuoba gniklat eruoy fi nadjd ot ni llac uoy draeh ti si thgif eht ni uoy gnipeek si ecneicsnoc --m" When the message, which has obviously been flipped backwards, is reversed it gives us this recognizable message: "M--Conscience is keeping you in the fight is it? Heard you call in to D.J. Dan. If you're talking about who I think you are then you already know my answer."

This is an obvious message from Rachel to W. Malik, or the ironman, as he was christened by fans, and her confirmation of a meeting. This refers to the coded message left by Malik on the D. J. Dan’s live call in show on August 11, 2006. If you recall, Malik rattled off a series of numbers (240 249 68 61 37 118 75 233 231 150 36 184 157 51 144 180 253 50 173 30 222 192 13 82 1) that corresponded to the first letter of each word on the page number listed in the code from the novel “Bad Twin.” That message read: "I know where he is, I can set it up." We’re not sure who “he” is (we have our guesses) but it sure seems to be leading us in an interesting direction.

And for those of you who received the following message from humanresources@hansocareers.com concerning the job for “VP or Public Relations…” It is most assuredly fake, but a nice diversion.

“As you may know, the founder of the Hanso Foundation, Alvar Hanso, has been a member of the prestigious Lambda Iota Epsilon fraternity for over 30 years.

We would like to inform you that based on our recommendation they will for the first time ever, open up a position for a non-fraternity member. The three things that set it off as bogus are the subject “VP or Public Relations” rather than VP OF Public Relations, the use of the word fraternities rather than the correct fraternity’s and the misspelling of the word namaste. P.S. The initials for Lambda Iota Epsilon are LIE. Quite! And they didn't even leave a URL to their website!

THE SRI-LANKA VIDEO TRANSCRIPT (Without Codes)

But first my own observations…

The Sri-Lanka video was provided by Rachel Blake in 70 fragments from July 22nd to September 7th, 2006, which began at Comic-Con in San Diego, CA. Rachel wore a t-shirt with the URL HansoExposed.com printed on it and directed us to visit the site for more information. This was the beginning of the third phase of the LOST Experience and a massive worldwide hunt for glyphs and codes, which has now reached its conclusion.

The 70 video fragments when pieced together provide two distinct and separate videos. Part 1 is a 1975 Orientation Film narrated by Alvar Hanso, presumably from his office in Denmark and Part 2 is a speech by “Dr.” Thomas Werner Mittelwerk secretively being filmed by Rachel in Sri Lanka. The transcript of the video appears below in paragraph format for easier reading. Those wishing to examine the fragments, glyphs and codes more closely can find additional information at my Pictoglyph Fragment site.

The videos give us little in the form of new information.

Since the introduction of the Valenzetti Equation into the Experience many players have speculated that the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 were somehow connected to the Valenzetti Equation. This anti-climactic revelation by Alvar Hanso comes as no surprise. The definition of D.H.A.R.M.A. was revealed earlier in the Experience with the Simon-like game played on the computer monitor in Phase 1. And, I think most of us knew that there were secret underground facilities. What we would most like to know is, “What are they for? What is the research being done there? And why did they need survival training before being taken there?”

The Mittelwerk video gives us a trivial amount of new information. Mostly, that work on viruses has been adapted for his project and that the DHARMA Initiative failed. We have also learned that Rachel was caught in the act of filming the speech by Mittelwerk and then taken captive. Again, however, we are left with many more questions than answers.

So now, we have to take radical action. And I just want to tell all of you that I trust you to do what is best. The villages of Philam(?) and Vitu Alami(?) have allowed us to test our vaccine on them. (Uncomfortable coughing from audience.) They think they're infected with a virus carried by local macaques and they believe we are bringing them the cure.

So when you go in, you have to keep up the story. You know it by heart. Don't waver. When the deaths begin, you must comfort everyone with compassion and empathy and the bodies of the dead must be brought to this station immediately for full genetic workup. We must make absoultely certain we are hitting precise genetic targets we have engineered into the virus. The optimum mortality rate is 30%. Our operatives at the VIK Institute have verified this figure… More or less people succumb, we have failed. We need not take any more lives than is absolutely necessary. Yes? Unidentified man, Tom, these are people, innocent human beings, and we're just going to... THE FINAL FRAGMENT CODE # 70

Rachel Blake has left us a message in the form of image files today on her public blog and in the process has provided us with fragment code # 70.

The final fragment code “PGVPE4EC“ was found today on Rachel Blake's Public blog. The video fragment code is of the bearded man (Alvar Hanso) saying, "Valenzetti assigned numerical values to the core environmental and human factors of his equation, 4,8,15,16,23,42."

On the webpage click “View” then “Source Code” to find a string of .png files (invisible links- "Select All" (CTRL-A), you will see small boxes up and down the margins of the page. Each box is a link to a glyph.). Placing the .png files at the home page URL with img_new/ and placing the image pieces together gets you the glyph and the code.

The message reads: “They say that everything happens for a reason. I wish I could believe that.” This is, of course, a message from Rachel Blake. We wonder what the next move is...

Fragment Code "KCQBMLI6" was found in four-piece glyph hunt on Lost Ninja's MySpace Page and Inside the Experience (The Other Girl was also involved.)

The video fragment is of the bearded man (Alvar Hanso) saying, "That is the work to which you have committed yourselves. Change the core values of the Valenzetti Equation, and you will change the course of destiny."

This statement, in our opinion, is the payoff quote of the entire video. It tells us that the VE can be changed and the future with it.

Fragment Code "ZR2JI" was found on the London real world glyph hunt today.

The video fragment is of Dr. Thomas W. Mittlewerk saying, "And in spite of every effort of the Foundation, we are gripped in the tyranny of those six Numbers."

Fragment Code "FLHO6CUM181" was found late Tuesday night by following clues to piece together another glyph fragment on both Inside the Expeirence and the Lost Ninja Site. The video fragment is of Dr. Mittlewerk saying, "The optimal mortality rate is 30%".

Fragment Code 65

Fragment Code "354G8" was found on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night (as we predicted in yesterday’s post.) The glyph was printed on Kimmel's coffee mug. The video fragment is of Thomas Mittlewerk saying, "When the deaths begin, you must comfort everyone with compassion and empathy."

Fragment Code 66

Fragment Code "2NG39Z" was found late Tuesday night by following clues to piece togather another glyph fragment on both Inside the Expeirence and the Lost Ninja Site. The video fragment is of T.W. Mittelwerk from between boxes again saying, "This inscrutable Equation keeps bringing us back into the Numbers."

Note: Code # 61 should be FLHO6CUM181 and Code # 64 should be XQGRMH. Code XQGRMH was listed as # 61 in an earlier post but has since been changed.

Speaker on WhereIsAlvar.com - Fragment Code 64

It looks like Speaker may have a glyph clue started at WhereIsAlvar.com. He is seen in an oversized Golden Oracle image with a t-shirt with writing on it. A simple flip of the image reveals the shirt says “Jonah 61.” Glyph fragment code 61 can’t be too far behind. We’re not sure where this is heading but it looks like a new glyph hunt is under way.

Fragment Code "XQGRMH" was found by following a clue left by Speaker at www.whereisalvar.com (see above). If you go to www.myspace.com/jonahadkins (Jonah the mapmaker) and select all on the page, you'll see more in his "About Me" section than you would normally. It says, “It's just me, Jonah! In Reader Mail 10 & 1/Seek he who is the good son.” Follow his clue and find Speaker’s Reader Mail 11 and you'll see Macaulay Culkin posted the link The Speaker. The fragment code can be found at the bottom of the page hidden under the title.

The video fragment is of Mr. Beardy saying, "…only by manipulating the environment, by finding scientific solutions to all of our problems..."

Also, Speaker has hinted that an important hint or clue will be found on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week. It would probably be a good idea to watch them (or at the very least DVR them.) My guess, we’ll see a glyph during a commercial or better yet a surprise appearance by Hugh McIntyre!

Fragment Code 63

Fragment Code "7C8R" has been found. The glyph aired after the most recent episode of Lost on the UK's Channel 4. The video fragment is of the bearded man (Alvar Hanso) saying, "We will be able to change those core factors and give humanity a chance to survive."

RBD FRAGMENT CODE 62 & ROT UPDATE

Richer Broader Deeper Fragment Code 62

The Richer Broader Deeper webpage has what seems to be another glyph code. Click on the “Breathe Sports” link (the baseball) and then click on the stadium seating under the jet ski. The word “QUARANTINE” will appear in lettered signs. This clue comes from the ROT thread discussing packed stadiums and fans.

The video is of Mittelwerk who detects Rachel filming his speech. He then says, "Is there something... reflecting... in the back?" Rachel says, “Oh, God!” and Mittelwerk yells, “Somebody grab her!” An unknown man says, "There she is!"

Mittelwerk’s speech is interrupted when he notices a reflection from Rachel's camera. The Hanso Foundation logo can be plainly seen on one of the boxes. This is the fragment that comes just before Rachel is chased down by Mittelwerk and his “associates.”

I just started watching Kim Possible. Loved it!!! It is all about a high school teen, balancing the cheer leading captain position, honor roll, and many more, including saving the world from villains. Of course, all heroes need a wisecracking, clumsy partner. "KP" is no exception. The comic relief of the heroic duo, Ron Stoppable is always there for Kim, though his pet and second best friend Rufus, the hairless mole rat, is always there to help out the duo when the going gets rough. Make sure to check it out!!!

TYSONS CORNER APOLLO CANDY BAR GIVE AWAY (8/25/06)

We had the good fortune to have one of our associates, Annalisa, present at the Tysons Corner (VA.) Apollo Candy Bar give away on Friday. Here is her report and a few photographs from the event.

“What a crazy day! First, let me start by saying that… things were late… So, lots of people were there at 11 but the candy bars didn't show up until 12… There was no banner or anything, but the local ABC was handing out their usual t-shirts. (“ABC News 7 on your side.” I was kind of hoping for a Hanso or Dharma shirt.) Then the Apollo candy bar people showed up (five in all) and quickly handed them out. A lot of people left quickly, but the die-hards hung around…

…But no golden ticket! All the boxes where searched; the Apollo people didn't seem to mind. I spoke to the lead guy and he said that they were given a script to follow (no one I spoke to actually heard it) and they were told that they had to take at least ten pictures per hour until all the bars were gone. I can only assume that they were looking for demographic information on the crowd. And save for two other strollers in line, the group was mostly in their very upper twenty to thirties. Maybe five from the forties range.

All in all, I think it went well. And the chocolate is not all that bad!

Translated this message says, “WHAT LINKS HERE OX2A” which is “42” and links to User: HACKALLBEER (RACHEL BLAKE). (See bottom of page). Click on User:HACKALLBEER then “42” to find the hidden glyph. Whew! Who found that convoluted code? Speaker, D.J. Dan, Alvar Hanso himself? The video fragment is of Mittelwerk saying "...exactly. You find the best way to get it done... precisely... surgically."

Apollo Candy Bar Give Away

A somewhat anticlimactic answer was discovered today during the first Apollo Candy Bar give away event in New York. The WhereIsAlvar.com website had been previously guessed at when the Apollo Candy site first went live. While the website has not yet been activated, a few very savvy players have been able to capture images from the site. Whether they are test images or are part of the site remains to be seen. (More on these images later if they prove to be in-game.) Lostpedia was the first to report on the image of the bars. There has been no indication that a so-called "golden bar" has been found but if my name were Veruca Salt...
